I was speaking to the general practice of filtering in response to the echo chamber generalization, not the original post calling out instances. Personally I filter out porn instances because that’s not what I’m here for. The nice thing about the app I use is that I don’t see any posts from those instances but I can choose to see comments because people interacting on the posts I see are generally there for random reasons and are reacting instead of posting their whatever.
This sounded like an ominous privacy warning lol!
oh yeah for sure. Dude they orchestrated a coup and took over Hawaii in the like 1800s.
Plus I think there was fuckery in Latin America even back then.
While I’m familiar with the east coast and have visited some older structures and monuments there, it still leaves me in awe. I’m from the new new world so even our historic buildings are maybe a century and a half in age. Maybe. Indigenous structures didn’t survive for the most part.
What’s also fascinating is how people can be incredibly blasé about a 500 year old building they drive past on their way to work every day. Incredible.
Neat. Europe having so much history is bizarre to me. I can’t fathom living in and walking amongst buildings that are multiple centuries old.
Yeah CIA likes to overthrow foreign governments, some democratically elected, and destabilize nations. They say they don’t do it anymore but who knows. It’s pretty public knowledge.
Edit: I live in America and it’s like that thing where you can talk shit about your own family.
Not sure how to on desktop but I use Connect and it’s in the menu options of posts. Super easy to block individuals, communities, and instances.
Bruh. It’s not an echo chamber to filter out literal Nazis and other stuff. Ain’t nobody changing their mind from “spirited” internet debate and I don’t need their garbage in my day.
I agree, the filters here are great. I don’t mind the real world stuff but I filter your instance because I don’t want to see furry porn.
(Not trying to be snarky, your kinks are not any of my business, hence the filter. My comment is meant to be genuine.)
Not watching because spoilers. I’m definitely going to play it. I’m worried it is not going to meet expectations but I have heard from people who have early access and they say it’s fine. I didn’t want them to elaborate.
Keep in mind most game releases piss people off, especially in popular franchises. I mean, there are people who hated Skyrim and that’s unfathomable to me.
So I take these reviews with a huge grain of salt right now. Ask me again on Saturday how it’s going.
Gotta say I don’t like the art direction though. Blech. And I was a Solavellan so I’m already pissed off by what I gleaned from the preview trailer.
I’m trying to remain optimistic but I feel those who are undecided should wait for reviews after the full release.
Edit: it’s not going well. I’m hoping it gets better.
Look man, all I know is it makes writing cover letters way faster.
Fuck these authoritarian jacknards.
Also, good fucking luck. Maybe them denying bathroom breaks to people actively bleeding when they “aren’t supposed to” will help children get diagnosed with PCOS and other disorders earlier.
We’ve known that groundwater existed for verifiably more than 7,000 years (the age of the oldest well ever found). Springs and seeps are easily observable groundwater coming up out of the ground. I seriously doubt it was stumbled into by accident. We probably started by modifying springs for our use and then dug in other places to see if we could tap into the same source.
When it was in print I used to read it every day at work since it was in the break room and this was before I had a smart phone (they were around, I just didn’t have one). I miss it, I always preferred it over the Seattle Times though I couldn’t tell you what about it was preferable.

Somebody tell FFXIV, I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Istanbul was Constantinople now it’s Istanbul not Constantinople been a long time gone, Constantinople and a Turkish delight on a moonlit night. Every gal in Constantinople lives in Istanbul not Constantinople so if you have a date in Constantinople she’ll be waiting in Istanbul. Even old New York was once New Amsterdam, why they changed it i can’t say, people just liked it better that way… So take me back to Constantinople no you can’t go back to Constantinople cause it’s Istanbul not Constantinople been a long time gone, Constantinople why did Constantinople get the works? That’s nobody’s business but the Turks… Dodo do do do de do do do do aaaaaaa whaaaaa (I’m just going to stop here)
Ok it’s from memory don’t sue me if I fucked it up.
