Shitty company tries to justify its existence
I’m reading Le Carre’s “The Spy who came in from the Cold.” The protagonist briefly reflects on torture and his own inability to resist it. The antagonist later says something to the effect of, ‘We believe you think you’ve told us everything, but we want to make sure we get what your subconscious isn’t telling us.’ A creepy thought about the perspective of a torturer. Admittedly, this book was written by an ex-spy in the sixties, and the mindset about torture has shifted. Just found it interesting and maybe relevant
There’s a subset of drinkers that would aspire to it though - some ppl’s passion is booze, and will spend the same price as a nice car on it and sip it over a decade. Whether or not it’s sane is up to you though lol
I’ve been lucky enough to try some, truly a flavour worth experiencing at least once if you can and like cognac. I still babble about it happily to strangers all the time…
Oh for sure, just a PSA - once I found out there were cards I wanted some, then found out I couldn’t have them lol
Damn, can’t buy this pack of cards outside the USA
This sounds dangerously like a rule 🤔 🇨🇦
If anything, it makes us legal scholars - if it’s not a written rule, it’s a loophole in the making
Don’t be silly. If one should get double tapped, you have a progressively smaller gun. For emergencies
This is gonna give me a hernes (hernia?)
Ah but you assume I will remember to BUY Chia seeds 😂
Realistically it looks like the majority of my fiber intake is about to become oats and popcorn…
Oh yeah the gap in surplus value is ridiculous, and continues to get worse. Sorry my comment was meant as a lazy “and you too can have $28B” joke 🤣
My solution for this is just to not spend money in game
There’s also a level of understanding vs. utility involved. Being aware that there are subtypes of symbiotic relationship doesn’t necessitate using them in day to day conversation, as most ppl just remember that they learned about the category.
To biologists, however, there’s a world of difference.
In addition, there’s a psychological phenomenon where our brains only need the first and last letter of a word in the right place, and all the right letters in between in any order, to suss out a word. Our familiarity with a lngaauge will put it together, so presumably the same is true for healthcare providers’ common words.
Note: I included an example of this in my comment
Lemmy_know when you got this up and running ❤️
