Probably to avoid “Facebook” people (angry middle aged Republicans and easy to swindle old folks).

just the kind of person who enjoys being a contrarian
I thought the end was slightly passive aggressive. It wasn’t bad at all.
The other user did namecall first but I think we of the Linux community have to remember we used free software out of ethics. Things seem more rosy and user-friendly comparatively now but you have to remember the people who have the same ethics will “stick it out” regardless of the end user experience.
I thought your first post was slightly aggressive but this post goes too far. We should be preaching the ethics of free software first; while always remembering everyday ethics so we don’t end up as hypocrites.
From what I’m hearing, Microsoft wants to ban anti-cheat and plenty of other kernel-space software. They are possible security issues (along with all of Windows).
Animals use a lot of body language. So, if AI could lift your tail to “speak” cat, i would finally get impressed by AI.
I remember getting a device that came with Vista. I reinstalled Vista on it and it still sucked. I then installed a pirated version of Windows 7 on it; the performance difference was night and day. It’s not @[email protected]’s fault that Microsoft is certifying incompatible hardware.
People accept the most ridiculous things. The amount of potential we have to improve everything is enormous.
I’m laughing at myself right now. I keep wishing people would switch to more progressive politics when people cannot even switch to a free piece of software with zero drawbacks even when their software starts blocking other software they use.
Hopefully, they would start a rival company. That would be fascinating to see.
I have a lot of respect for Sway and wlroots developers. They contributed heavily to the desktop Linux ecosystem. However, if you need to explain that much at first boot; you may overload some users. I’m sure tiling in Plasma will get better as they splify configuration and figure out better defaults.
It would be a pleasant surprise to see someone in his class receive a punishment (that is completely deserved) that is more than “a slap on the wrist.”
If the tiling is automatic and the users dont know how to change the size of the window manually (if that window manager allows that).
To the Kwin maintainer, I can see why tiling isn’t a bigger deal. It’s not exactly about copying Windows; it’s more about not confusing most users. We already see tiling features, I’m sure they will figure out (1) more powerful features or (2) a way for other people to build off what they have. Let them cook.
I do agree that Linux will never be a Windows clone. There’s no purpose in copying decades worth of bad decisions. Windows isn’t great, it’s just always compatible with hardware.
PayPal credit is an option. No interest if you pay it off in 6 months.
I was thinking more of uninstalling this 81 GB/hour game and enrolling in flight school (if you have data cap overage fees). But I like the way you think!
If you have small data caps, it may even be cheaper.
@[email protected] showed me where I was confused. I thought YOU were calling this a moral issue; I just understood your comment wrong.
I am well aware of how Nintendo treats emulator devs, game modders, organizations that make better games in the same genre, and full blown ROM distribution websites exactly the same even though only one of these groups of people are breaking any laws.
Exactly. Many people would say is “Why would Cubans be Republicans” but all I see is more Floridamans* from Florida.
*Floridamen is obviously not the grammatically correct term
You grow up in Flordia, you become a Florida man. It’s not like it’s white genetics that makes people bigoted; it’s the culture and the toxic media.
It feels like people in this country focus on labeling organizations and people as good or evil.
If the Republicans are evil, then the Democrats must be the good guys.
What we should be doing is labeling actions as evil and enforce punishments for those who do these actions; regardless of who they are affiliated with.
Zoom and Google Meets have both worked better for me.
