Then you switch to someone else. Also its not just about talking. You can track a number of things: sensor readings, track satellites, airplanes, boats, etc…
Will talk about Linux, plants, space, retro games, and anything else I find interesting.

To answer you seriously, yeah kinda! It’s a way of communicating without any internet access. You can talk with people around the world if you want. And it opens up to a whole community of people that really like the hobby.
Nope that’s what the web interface is for.
But an rtlsdr is pretty cheap if you want to go that route. I do satellite tracking with satnogs and it’s fun.
It’s silly they don’t just delete it instead they make you wait…
It was :(
My pi 4 is right on the cusp. 3 B+ was the best when it came to no dongles and power. Now its taking about the same power as a mini PC and you have to by the enclosure, fans/heatsink/dongles/etc…etc… I suppose you can still buy the old pis but man I miss when that was the form factor they were going for.
I bring over my 3/4 for hacking projects all the time. But I cant justify the 5 without looking at getting a mini pc for 10$ more and it comes with a hard drive ment to last longer than an SD.
meh its no longer growing.
Apologies, both have forks that are actively maintained…if you know where to look. And this is a public place, so im not going to say where. I know that sucks, but the lawyers can look anywhere…and lemmy is just as “safe” as discord like last time.
No idea if those specific issues got fixed, but devs did fix an issue with the new paper mario somewhat recently.
All this means is that people that are looking for emulators have to go to berg for the forks rather than git hub. Yuzu and their variants are still alive and well. Just people are not stupid enough to put their real names now. And the forks are tucked away. git is a wonderful protocol :)
For sure, just give me a nudge as I may forget to come back haha. I’ll try it out tonight if I get a chance.
I’ll give it a shot.
I tried something similar a year or so ago with my own script. What I found was, the longer the book, the harder the ai has on having the same voice.
I eventually got around this limitation by using piper. https://github.com/rhasspy/piper
It was good enough for my purposes. But it definitely sounded mechanical.
Its so simple for end users it sure can do a lot.
Its a stragegy game where you move units on a hexagonal board. Its a pretty unique system in my opinion. Its kinda like advanced wars.
Super Tux and Wesnoth are my favorite, followed by SuperTuxKart.
Update it up now. Just a small outage.
Its hitting a lot of people that were relying on the sale of their solar in order to offset their loans for the systems.
You cant legally disconnect a residential residence in CA from the grid unless you get some HEAVY permits. Thats one of the reasons PGE introduced the minimum fee, people with solar. Some people were making a profit pushing electricity into the grid so they make it 0.03c per kwh credit instead of wholesale.
Half the houses over here have solar now when you drive down the street. Im thinking of getting it too.
I may take a stab at it if it bothers me enough. I dont know rust, but I could possibly see playing around with piefed/bookwyrm or some other like platform to prototype. Its probably one of those issues that comes up so rarely that we dont really need to worry too much about. Until its my instance of course 😜 .
Reminder ban communities would totally be a thing. To that, I have no solution other than they would have to be extra-ordinarily coordinated in their trolling. Which the internet is want to do…
To be fair having benevolent mods/admins/dictators are the best case scenario (and we are honestly in a pretty good spot in the fedi).
That’s a good legitimate issue.
There’s some things that could be done, like only allow people that have been part of the community for x amount of time may help. But it will definitely need to be thought about further.
But the current solution is permanent changes by mods of a community you are part of still sucks.
Sucked when it was part of reddit and sucks that it’s still a thing here
I like my rtlsdr. It’s great and super cheap.
