I never knew I wanted a tilt-shift style Super Mario RPG but now its all I can think of. It’d be an interesting challenge to redo those old games, but they proved it doable with Link’s Awakening.

Disclaimer I’ve never done it myself but I’ve looked into it in the past. It doesn’t seem like its too overly complicated. Just be sure to check out their features per device when deciding which surface to go with: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface/wiki/Supported-Devices-and-Features#feature-matrix
You could get a surface and install your favorite flavor yourself: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface
For me its less so ownership and moreso the recurring price. I still pay for NSO due to its current cheap price but its definitely less ideal than picking and choosing which games I care about.
Both are not full ownership, not too long ago Nintendo shut down the 3DS eshop so those titles are inaccessible unless you downloaded them on device before the shutdown.
I am so excited for this! This was my first Fire Emblem game. I couldn’t ever get into the switch 3d versions of FE like I could the old GBA pixelated ones.
