  • Prices needs to go up a little bit every year to reflect CPI and inflation.

So should salaries, but that ain’t happening. All services are increasing in price. Food has increased in price like 50% or more over the last year you bet I’m reevaluating if I need a subscription every time the price increases. And if I cancel I’m not only saving the increased amount, I’m saving the entire subscription cost.

External help on linux: actual people responding, explicit error messages and commands, everything transparent.

External help on windows: try reinstalling drivers/vc redist, bro. marked as solved, OP and a bunch of other people still saying it didn’t do shit

Also just disagree on needing any more help. Not my experience at all.

  • but if I actually care about new features in a program Im compiling the RC manually

That’s actually one of the reasons I switched and settled on arch. Not only do you get latest upstream binary versions, but building stuff is easier without the need to hunt down all dev package versions and a lot of packages have their git versions in AUR. Pull in all latest commits, build and install with just a single command!

Otherwise its just more frequent 50GB downloads for some imperceptible incremental change to CUPS and Libre Office.

Well I have no idea what kind of Libreoffice you’ve been installing lmao. I likely spend more bandwidth looking at memes and shitposts and youtube per day than a single weekly update.
