Maybe it’s that a boombox playing music is more social and open, whereas what someone does with their phone is typically meant to be private, but some people play their music or w/e noise out loud from it as if only they can hear their phone and you’re just supposed to pretend they aren’t overstepping boundaries.

Also, the account is named after the website they’re linking to. While it’s possible this was just posted by a genuinely uncreative person who made an account for the sole purpose of asking this question (which also doesn’t fit this sub), this is almost certainly just extremely poorly disguised astroturfing (maybe that’s not the right use of the term astroturfing but either way, it’s self promotion that’s pretending it isn’t).
