It’s on my Steam wishlist. Since I already have a copy of Tyranny I’ll probably play that before Deadfire, but I definitely want to play it! Hopefully Avowed will be good too whenever that comes out.

I love it. The key is setting the triggers as the left and right clicks though. I find clicking the trackpad not great for precision. There is a certain level of tinkering/customizing that will be needed to get the most out of the controls.
I’ve played several 20 year old FPS games with absolutely no native controller support and completed them all. If you put in a little work in getting the controls how you like them it makes it hard to play stuff without all the Steam Deck options.
I’m sure I’ll pick it up eventually. One of my friends had to have a talk with her husband about how much she was playing that game.
I also got that game for free from Amazon and I’m planning on playing that next! The premise is pretty cool!
I wanted to check out Pillars because I think Avowed looks cool, but I do see Divinity Original Sin 2 on sale pretty frequently so I might pick it up. I’m still trying to take a big bite out of my backlog before buying more games I won’t end up playing for years. (I finally played GTA5 last month.)
I loved the original Fallout games. Pillars is a lot like the original two Baldur’s Gate games and the other games like it. Icewind Dale and Planescape Torment. Though I haven’t really earnestly played any of them. I did play the Dark Alliance games when they were new and I was a kid, but those are action RPGs.
The continued use of Next Gen for what is definitely the current console generation does make me pretty annoyed
I mean like the little secret areas that you have to puzzle out how to get to. Or maybe I haven’t. It feels like I must have missed stuff, but maybe Valve didn’t do as much of that kind of stuff.
F.E.A.R. and I thought it was pretty fun.
Looks great for when it was made and the lighting was pretty impressive. The story was kind of dumb and super cliche. The scares mostly didn’t work, but they got me with a few jump scares. The music and atmosphere were pretty eerie and effective. Decent shooter!
I’ll eventually check out the sequels and now I really want to play that studio’s spy games. I think they are called No One Lives Forever or something like that.
Man, I wish this wasn’t a survival game because it’s giving me Dinoriders vibes and I loved those dumb toys.
Grim Dawn on Steam Deck and finishing up the collectables on Quantum Break which I usually stream that from my PC to my Steam Deck. I absolutely love the Steam Deck.
For better or worse I can sit and play way longer sitting on the couch with my Steam Deck than at the desk in front of my computer.
I have it running the recommended levels, but I think Miles Morales probably just has more bugs being a smaller release for Sony.
Still was super impressed by the game. It’s very fun and ran exceedingly well, but it had a lot of weird bugs.
It took me just shy of 20 hours and that’s mostly because I was so impatient and died a lot. Took me a long time to realize that jumping over attacks was just better than using the dodge for a lot of enemies.
The game almost lost me right away. It gets so much easier after racking up some levels and a fun weapon have been found.
I’m playing Miles Morales now on it and it runs great though there are more bugs in this then just the annoying memory leak. I’ve had it crash a few times when too many in game events line up.
Just early tonight it froze because a podcast clip started right as it was saving me finding a tech cache. I waited to see if it’d recover, but no luck. When the ambient cityscape sounds started dropping out I knew I’d have to use the Steam Exit Game command.
I feel like Children of Men (2006) doesn’t get much recognition for being a chilling view of a future world or the respect it should with it’s amazing long takes and excellent camera work. If possible watch the behind the scenes material about the car rig they built. It’s so cool!
The edits were because I’m still learning the Voyager interface for Lemmy. I didn’t realize the three choices of photo, link, and text were separate choices. But the link is in the text and I thought the picture was nice.
If you really want to blow your mind, look up the ad campaign when they introduced Chicken Nuggets in the 1980s. It was very much inspired by tempura fried chicken, so nuggets are literally the fast food version of the kind of chicken underneath the orange chicken sauce.
