SteamOS is where I hang a LOT of faith now. Just, like, generally.

Here’s hoping this is the beginning of a freer world from the personal technology standpoint.

I love my Steam Deck. I’m browsing the Fediverse on it right now. Desktop mode is a bit of that unpolished Linux experience you can get but it’s really not bad at all. I mean, I fucking love it!

An official Steam Deck mod would probably be nice. Heroic Launcher kind of works.

Fuck, fam.

I legit dropped $100. I have a Steam Deck now so it’s like I can have ANY OF IT.

So far, LOTR Moria, For Honor, Barotrauma, and Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance.

I had Dark Alliance on my OG Xbox when I was younger and I’m really looking forward to playing it again as like an idle game.

Cool. Guess I’ll leave you and them in the past.

All the best games are cool about providing software resources to players, mod abilities, self-hosting, so on. It’s kind of like the Steam license thing. I love Steam but there’s no way I’m starting Helldivers 2 or Destiny 2 up in ten years to play nostalgia. But Shattered Pixel Dungeon? Deep Rock Galactic? Valheim? Minecraft. I’ll still be rocking those.

Yeah, I guess if there’s anything, I’d like to see an up to date version of The Journeyman Project point and click games.

They could pull a Wolfenstein and do an updated Nitemare 3D and do some world building in the Hugo’s House of Horrors series.
