They may not have a siberian orchestra, by they do have a teen chapel.

Easy solution. “The Internet Archive” should rebrand itself to “Archiving the Internet” to confuse everyone who talks about how “AI” should be able to steal books.
Agreed about changing the copyright law.
Until that happens though, they must not be allowed to have it both ways - call us “pirates” when we copy their shit without paying for it, and tell us that paying for shit they copy is “impossible”.
Libraries are still a thing. You can still go there to borrow a book, read it, and return it, so that others can read it.
Public libraries are under assault from every direction.

Pretty soon you either won’t find the books, or even the libraries themselves. Piracy is the only way they are leaving to us.
Also, at least 27 percent of bears shit in the woods.
I mean what other choice is there? The way US elections are designed (electoral college, distribution of state representatives, re-drawing local districts on whims, unlimited amount of money being able to be poured into campaigns without any oversight or even reporting requirements, etc.,) voting for a third party is throwing your vote away. So you vote for the lesser evil. Unless you are so brainwashed as to vote against your own self-interest out of fear of the other side.
Isn’t this getting blocked in 24H2?
Louis Rossmann’s 20-minute rant on needless cloudification of shit incoming in 3… 2… 1…
Didn’t they block the Shift-F10 workaround in 24H2?
What’s the alternative? Buying Chromebooks and creating a generation of Google drones?
Alright, As You Wish.
Other motions proposed included a call to “abolish abortion by immediately securing the right to life and equal protection of the laws to all preborn children from the moment of fertilization.”
Do my preborn children count towards car passengers in the HOV lanes? Can I claim every fertilized egg as a dependent on my state tax forms?
“Texas retains the right to secede from the United States, and the Texas Legislature should be called upon to pass a referendum consistent thereto. … supporters of the Texas Nationalist Movement, which wants the Lone Star State to become an independent country, were photographed holding signs which read TEXIT NOW!”
So the Brexit disaster is their role model now?
I have a whole separate list for arcade games.
I have not kept up with gaming much for the past decade, so my list is going to be very dated. In no particular order:
No console games on my list, because PCMR! :P
[Edit] Almost forgot Star Control 2!
Those videos were not anti-FOSS. It was an honest look into the state of gaming on Linux that even the experts begrudgingly agreed with. If you listen to Linus’ personal views on Linux, he’s rooting for an alternative to Windows and Mac.
Well true, the engine may be good for 300k miles. But if it sits parked all the time, the body will rust long before you get to “fully use” it.
Driving it, believe it or not. Even a car that’s used to commute to work every day still sits parked most of the day.
DDG was working earlier today, but for the past hour it just throws an error “There was an error displaying the search results. Please try again.”
Immich. https://immich.app/
AGPL, self-hosted, high feature parity with GPhotos. https://github.com/immich-app/immich/
SpaceInvader One channel on YT has several guides on installing the server on UnRaid and migrating your photo library from Google Photos. https://youtu.be/krAZcUIP3YE and https://youtu.be/LtNWxxM5Mzg
Louis Rossmann recently brought a lot of attention to it by offering the developers a grant via his FUTO org. https://youtu.be/uyTPqxgqgjU
Immich has excellent face detection, as well as search capabilities built-in that can be assisted with locally or remote run ML. https://immich.app/docs/guides/remote-machine-learning/
I’ve been running it for a couple of months. It’s under active development, but I personally feel that it’s stable and at a good enough place to be a full replacement of Google Photos. In fact, I turned off all uploads to Google in their Photos app, and rely on Immich auto-uploading to my server instead. Of course that means having a robust (preferably off-site) backup and disaster recovery plan.
Treats servers badly. Both in restaurants and in IT infrastructure.
Have you tried a patch cable‽
