agreed. I’m just saying “simple” or “complex” has nothing to do with it.

you can have simple games without predatory monetization. that’s what OP is talking about.
ES6 will be fine. Starfield was doomed from the beginning because of the silly space exploration structure.
unless you already played it and want something new.
wasted too much time on starfield, FO76, and mobile games. that’s all they have released since 2018. and if you don’t count VR editions or special editions then you’re back to 2016 with FO4.
8 years of junk. They could have made TWO elder scrolls in that time.
All that sounds like your subjective view not based on data. Not saying the DNC is perfect by any means, but it’s clear the economy was by far the #1 issue in this election. I mentioned exit polls earlier, and also Trump was way up compared to 2020 even in extremely rural counties. Israel, Cheney, Stein, etc have nothing to do with that.
exactly. I think whoever ended up as the D candidate was going to take the blame for the massive pandemic inflation. They were destined for failure from the beginning.
Looking at exit polls, people were far more concerned with the economy than anything else. I don’t think Israel mattered much to average people. Biden/Harris got fucked with pandemic inflation and people are too dumb to realize it had nothing to do with them. And that will be further reinforced because inflation is under control now so Trump will look great having done nothing whatsoever.
The politics doesn’t belong in the media’s story and world. Like the creator(s) just added it in to push a message.
literally all of literature is created to push a message. who are you to say what “belongs” and what doesn’t? it’s their story.
agreed, there is so much lore more to criticize about this game but of course this is what gets headlines and rage clicks.
I was with you up until the shift away from multiplayer part. I do not see that happening at all, and I don’t even like multiplayer games myself. There’s no denying that more multiplayer has been the trend for the last 30 years, spanning multiple (people) generations, and I don’t see AI changing that.
yeah I would like to leverage AI for stuff like RPG NPCs. instead of hearing the same filler lines for 200 hours of gameplay, barely reacting to the context of your game you could have a vibrant array of endless dialog that actually keeps up with your game progress (or lack thereof).
the golden age of gaming
jfc I hope you reported that app.
We NEED to hear others, if not just for the fact that others may NEED to hear our voices too.
We have tried engaging in good faith, but they don’t WANT to hear us. For example, the mods of [email protected] (specifically https://lemmy.ml/u/OurToothbrush) ban for people for simply disagreeing with them. Happened to me and I’ve seen multiple others.
This is about open-source being open.
tell that to the mods of [email protected] who ban you for disagreeing with them.
I think the fair thing to do, is to respond in the same scale (i. e. blocking specific users) instead of going all ballistic with instance blocks.
it’s not just random users, the mods of larger communities like [email protected] will delete your comments and ban you simply for disagreeing with them.
yep I got banned from there for simply stating that ukraine has a right to defend themselves after Modi called for “peace”. Apparently absolute pacifism is only required from one side.
I think that is a different feature than what the article is talking about.
until the demand for it skyrockets. then it’s either gone or just as expensive as all the tariffed coffee.
