Hmm, that is weird, I can’t really help on that as I haven’t really had any issues with it. Maybe see if there are any issues filed on github regarding the problem, and if you like it enough, maybe file an issue if you can imagine yourself using it!

I’m not 100% sure on the feature set, but Symphony (also available on f-droid) is a super nice local music player!
