  • I said establishment leftists, primarily. That’s the primary prevailing narrative. It’s mostly leftist, and rhymes with almost everyone that claims to be a leftist loudly. It’s the same people who don’t get banned from social media because they’re pro-establishment.

Corporations don’t give two shits about leftism or any political ideology, but it uses it to rile dumb people against others.

If your leftism is “let’s fine a way to cover people who get injured and can’t work”, then we can have a discussion. But if your leftism “those are rich evil, we’re poor, gimme money” or “BLM is great and we need to let those poor bastards destroy more property”, which is the majority nowadays, then we’ll never have middleground. These are just examples. Tons more exist.

  • While I’m not intending to offend people, I have to state that the majority of people with loud voices on social media are leftist, for many reasons including that being a typical leftist that buys the narrative (regardless which one, make your pick) requires a certain level of ignroance that approaches being an average human being with minimal critical thinking. That’s most people, because leftist ideas are shallow and sound good to people with simplistic views of the world. Besides, most leftists are jobless and/or teenagers who have nothing better to do. People like me who have anti-establishment views usually have jobs and are productive, hence not only have less time to argue, but are literally “too old for this sh*t”. There was a time when I argued a lot. Now I just say a few sentences and then I’m like… “whatever”, especially when I get robotic answers.

  • The Linux community doesn’t understand what “just works” really means.

Whether windows or mac, I plug my machine to the docking station, and it just works.

With Linux, every day a different problem. Out of the blue, screens just stop working. Resolutions change. Every restart different behavior. Zero consistency.

I’m not 17 anymore… I don’t have the time to keep tweaking. I need to be productive.

So what do I do? I SSH to a Linux machine whose desktop environment I don’t wanna see, and code remotely. Most productive setting.

    You asked. Here’s the answer.
