If you start a new account and it gets negative, you start getting timeouts. Say, one comment per 30 minutes or so. It’s easier to just ditch it, create another one, and spam memes until you hit a comfortable karma score in order to participate in heavier debates. Otherwise, one wrong word can essentially lock you out early on.
I’m not a fan of voting systems at all, but about 15 or so years ago I was in a forum that implemented a voting system that was on the user’s profile.
You could give the user +1, 0 or -1 only once. But in every case, you had to write why you were giving a user that score. You could edit it, albeit not frequently, to reflect any changes.
Anyone going to that user’s profile would see the score and the comments, so you also couldn’t just go around giving a score without consequences. And the score overall reflected more on your standing with the community.
Edit: wording
ICQ is still around tho.
I ended up blocking the person. I’m sorry, I’m sure they’re great, but come on…
Thanks. I’m gonna see if I can find one.
I really like the no-cone thing. I wish it had been a thing when my dog got spayed. She was completely terrified of it.
You don’t think the technology will improve?
I think it will come… Right now the weak AI is highly compartmentalized (one produces text, another produces language, another scans videos, etc.). What would happen if these different parts could be integrated, and then given a robotic body with sensors? What if its “session” could run indefinitely? Isn’t this what we are, in essence?
Yeah, I made the choice last year of getting a beefier GPU over a PS5 because 1) I don’t play more than a couple of things on the PS4, and 2) I spend most of my time on PC.
Part 2 is amazing, and I can only imagine how awesome it will look with some visual upgrades on the PS5/PC.
I’m also hoping Horizon Forbidden West will come to PC. That’s another great game that vastly improved on its predecesor.
Sure, I’m prejudiced against nazis and people trying to steal from others. I’m a horrible person.
Right, but the universe is not a being that is trying to kill us. It’s an environment.
It’s like saying the sandstorm in the desert is trying to kill you. No, it isn’t. It’s just something that happens.
A chatbot does not understand the nuances behind fictional dialogue, it makes absolute sense that it would be limited. Writing dialogue is more than putting quotes and “X said” afterwards. Any writer worth their salt knows that.
I don’t trust anyone proposing to do away with limitations to AI. It never comes from a place of honesty. It’s always people wanting to have more nazi shit, malware, and the like.
Do research it. I’m no expert or security nut, so I’m just relaying what I’ve read before. 👍🏻
I’ve read that it doesn’t really improve security much? Or maybe it’s just a matter of opinion.
I’m very hopeful for the PC version. I imagine it will be as quick as with the remake. PS5 release first, then 6-12 months later, PC version.
Hopefully the next step is the PC port.
I’ve been using Keepass for 18 years. Nothing beats it. Recently switched from og to XC, and it’s been a vast improvement in the workflow. I love that it can integrate into the browser.
The “raw” KDBX file is already encrypted, there’s no need to re-encrypt it.
Fuck spez! 🍻
