I got my first photo album in the early 90s when my parents gave me a Polaroid camera! Somehow I have now inherited my grandparents photo albums with pictures going back to the 1940s to the 80s when I was a kid and I love looking through them even though I don’t know who all of the people are. It’s a MUCH different experience than swiping through images on a phone and it makes me sad that younger people might never experience that

I get the hottest Indian food I can when I go out lol I’ve gotten so used to it that even the hottest stuff they have doesn’t seem that spicy to me anymore! I’ve started making my own dishes at home now with habaneros and I love it! I just made a post in another community with my new batch of pickled habaneros that I’ve been putting on everything lol

There are some aspects of life that make me wish I was born at a different time than I was, and other things I like now that I wouldn’t want to do without. I don’t think it’s as black and white if an issue as this makes it seem.

I’m not particularly bitter about it, it’s just a fact of life at the moment. What I do take exception to though are people who like to condescendingly suggest that all life’s problems could be solved by just heading to the Caribbean or Europe for a few weeks. If I could afford to just pick up and go wherever whenever I felt like it then most of my issues would already be resolved lol

As someone who has done both (occasionally at the same time even), there is a HUGE difference between getting too high and getting too drunk. Getting too high is way safer lol much less likely to get into any real trouble and you’ll for sure remember everything that happened
