I’ve used Joplin before which was okay-ish (but borked the e2e encryption during an update).

Now I would recommend Silverbullet if you are really keen on self hosting a notes app.

But the notes that work best for me is simply Obsidian + Syncthing-Fork (you could self host a syncthing server), thanks to its sheer ability to adapt to nearly any use case thanks to its plugin.

For farmers this effectively eliminates the need for an auctioneer alt. Yeah, i built a tiny proof of concept Metroidvania for my studies… 150 hours. At least 70 were used to build, improve and then fix the animation tree which handled all states. Really cool that I could do that with Godot. The metroidvania was 2d single player and presumably 3d multiplayer is not easier. I hope the devs are more experienced than I was, though.
