does Doom count? Because my friends and I still play the game to this day, all the various community mods and maps.

I loved this at first but then the complexity of the various mechanics seemed to take a sharp rocket ship upwards through the roof. I got kind of lost and then tried to read the wiki guide and it was like a book, so that was that. I really wanted to like it though! Maybe I should give it another go.
Do you know what happened to it? Just curious.
I think LW is better out of the box. It has both UBO and Containers built in. Which is just awesome. I still use FF as my daily just because I have customized it beyond belief, but if I were to start over again I think I’d start with LW.
Also the other instance I was using … vlemmy.net … has been down for like a week now. I wonder if it’s completely done for?
Exactly. He could not care any less about any of this. He’s just the faceman right now taking all the heat on purpose for that sweet sweet ipo cash out. Money is all that matters at this point. He’s burning the entire company down to the ground just to cash out and disappear from public life.
Same here. I’m fine using Proton for my mail & drive, but I also like keeping my passwords separate in bitwarden, and my 2fa separate in my raivo. A healthy separation is good.
Completely agree. Usually with these colony builder style games, I run into several problems where I just don’t understand how the systems are implemented, and the game does a poor job of explaining stuff. But on this Steamworld Build, I never ran into that. Everything made sense, and I loved expanding and placing my buildings, and moving stuff around etc… REALLY well done on their part. Very much looking forward to the release.
Same! Dig 2 was sooooo good. And there aren’t many like it really. Searching for all the powerups, making notes about spots on the map. Loved it. Dig 3 would be an instant purchase for me, I hope they get around to it next after Build.
Exactly my sentiments. Zero desire to use any form of chromium.
I couldn’t be happier having made the move off of plex to jellyfin a couple years back. Plex is basically dead to me since they made their move into enshittification. Jellyfin is perfect! Works great never crashes etc.
Another vote for newsblur. And you can use it either as a backend+frontend, or just as a backend and then use a modern “reader only” app as the front. It’s super configurable.
For those just glancing through: what would you define “knowledge management” as?
Whoa! I didn’t even know about this game and Sony is one of my all time favs. I’ll have to look it up.
A friend and I had an absolute blast playing this last year. Loved the music so much!
I’m the same. On paper, Stellaris sounds like a game that could be my all time #1. It has everything I love in games, but my lord … the learning curve. I have tried it three times now and I could just never get over it. It’s like it’s not even a curve lol, it’s a flat straight up vertical wall.
Bluesky … “repeating the same twitter mistakes all over again, yay!”
Also what happens when a ton of users delete their content, as I just did yesterday. I participated in quite a bit of tech support chat on reddit, and now all of that is gone.
Had an absolute blast with Dredge this past winter. Next up on my list is Nier as I’ve heard it runs super well and it’s been in my backlog for ages.
Since the steam deck 2 will make use of the amazing gains, I wonder if people will really start considering the Deck as an alternative to Switch 2. There’s already a TON of overlap in the indy game scene. SO many of those release on both Steam and Switch.
Obviously the hardcore Nintendo IP fans will stick with Switch 2, but outside of that … ???
The Deck has really been a game changer!
