You joke but my dad once fell face first into a bonfire and blistered most of his face. When the skin grew back his dermatologist told him that a lot of people would kill for a skin treatment as good as what he wound up with. He was almost entirely blemish and wrinkle free when he healed.

You could probably manage the same with enough hot steam from an iron but it may take a bit longer.

  • I’m willing to bet that they just didn’t want the legal hastle of collecting data on minors. Also minors are going to be more likely to lie about any potential sexual history.

As far a why they excluded man on man action I have no idea. If the origional graph was in an article about declining birth rates or something then that may explain it but idk what the original article was so idk if that is the case.

  • Welcome to imposter syndrome, it means you’re a professional.

As far as how you can be more comfortable that heavily depends heavily on what your job is. Some jobs have more direct feedback than others. But largely it will just take time. You’re still the new guy from the sound of it so it will take time to learn how your workplace works and what the exact expectations are. In the mean time just remember that as long as you aren’t consistently getting negative feedback on the same things then odds are you’re doing perfectly fine. Doing things wrong ocasionally is expected because you are human, but as long as you are learning from those times then you are already doing better than a lot of people. If nobody is telling you that you aren’t meeting expectations at your reviews then either you are meeting expectations or you have a bad manager.

  • To be fair, neither are typically hand soldered in profesional environments anymore (outside of rework). Surface mount stuff gets paste and sent through a reflow oven. Through hole stuff gets wave soldered or sent through a selective solder machine. The only thing I can think of that needs to be hand soldered anymore are batteries because sending a lithium ion battery through a reflow oven or over a pot of molten metal is a bad idea.

Also, fun side fact, lithium ion batteries also explode if you stick then in antistatic bags. I’ll let you imagine how our inventory people discovered that.

  • It’s usually epididymitis which is a swelling of the epididymus which is the sack attached to the testicles that stores sperm. Basically, after the vasectomy, sperm can’t be expelled in the typical manner anymore but the body will keep producing it regardless so it has to break it down reabsorb it; if for some reason sperm is being prodiced faster than it is being broken down then it starts to back up and cause swelling in the epydidymus which is painful. How painful it is is going to vary a lot depending on the person. I’ve had a vasectomy and I ocasionally get pain from it. Just every once in a while (averaging about once a month) my balls ache with pain that rates between 2/10 and 4/10. Usually it doesn’t even last a full day but sometimes it lasts up to a week. Even knowing about this I still would have chosen to get a vasectomy.

  • Exactly. If he was humanely euthanizing them and then freezing them for snake food then there really isn’t anything that wrong here. I know most people would prefer that the meat of choice not be puppies but that’s just how western society views dogs. But societal views aside it’s no different than using piglets which are what a lot of large snake owners use.

  • The choice of puppies is weird but a snakes gotta eat and you can’t exactly just feed them a head of lettuce. Is puppies really that much worse than piglets or rabbits?

Once a snake gets to a certain size rats won’t be enough anymore. At that size there aren’t any good mass market options so those snake owners will usually take what they can get. I knew a guy that bred reticulated pythons and he wound up having a deal with a pig farm where they would sell him any piglets that happened to die early for dirt cheap (because what else where they going to do with them). But if you don’t luck into an arrangement like that what do you do? If you have an ample supply of unwanted puppies I guess it would make sense to use puppies. As awful it sounds to western sensibilities, dogs are livestock in other parts of the world.
