“NO NOT LIKE THAT!”

It’s the “all your eggs in one basket” problem.
While I agree with the sentiment here, this is pretty 1-dimensional. For one, US support of Ukraine actually has little to do with democracy and everything to do with national sovereignty. One nation with imperial ambitions invaded another nation without pretense, US provides aid to stave off that invasion.
Hypocritical given US history of imperialism? Sure. But it’s NOT imperialism under the mask of democracy.
Similar arguments apply to various points on this list. Supporting NATO is about maintaining a military alliance against common enemies, not spreading democracy.
“In a gold rush, you want to be the guy selling the shovels”
Nvidia is the shovel-seller right now. A couple of AI companies will probably get huge, 99% will fail. But Nvidia is getting paid by them all.
Nah, it was good at being what it was supposed to be. Not every movie needs to be an artistic cinematic masterpiece.
Or one less cup of coffee
Man, I knew fingerprint encryption was bad but that is nuts.
Antibiotics. Turned so many lethal wounds into minor cuts.
“Turn up the volume and listen to that engine purr”
Honestly don’t even remember, but it was in my peak “know enough to be dangerous” days in college. I almost certainly didn’t have to go that nuclear to fix it, but that’s what I did.
Take 2 of Arch, after that wipe was completed, went pretty well. It revived an old piece of shit laptop for another few years before its motherboard gave out.
My first attempt at running Arch, I managed to fuck it up so badly that I had to write a script to write zeros to every bit of my HDD. Fun times.
My favorite fortress fail was from a were-iguana. A visitor turned into a giant iguana in the middle of the dining hall and caused a minor ruckus before my militia dispatched it. 2/10 invasion, really not that special.
Then next full moon there were 7 of them, including my militia commander. Oops. Pay attention to combat logs when you fight a were-creature! Quarantine the bitten!
France definitely didn’t control Eastern Spain in 1507.
Joke’s on you, I’m Buddhist!

So it’s at least acknowledging that there’s something there.
While the US government’s fiscal year starts in October, and many employers have fiscal years not starting on Jan 1, individual taxes are generally calculated by the calendar year. Form 1040 defaults to that unless you write in otherwise.
The number of people in government who get promoted because they’re awful and that’s the easiest way for their boss to be rid of them…
I get a mental image of The Bad Donald crossed with Rick & Morty’s Elon Tusk.
This bit is slightly less removed from reality than the average SovCit rant. The collateral is the house, but the piece of paper (deed/lien) says who legally owns the house. Without that documentation, the bank wouldn’t accept the fact that a house merely exists, as collateral for the loan.
But like any good SovCit, they take the grain of truth and try to fill a canyon with it.
