Russian interference with the Brexit referendum was widely suspected, with some relevant evidence, but again the people in charge of investigating and the main suspects had a lot of overlap.
A report was eventually produced saying essentially that the government hadn’t done anything to stop Russian interference and didn’t seem to care about it. The PM then prevented that report from being published for a long time.

The US produced some lengthy reports detailing exactly what happened (down to timestamps of the hackers’ web searches!), and charged some Russian hackers (in absence?) but didn’t charge the main US suspects because one of them was president at the time, and the Attorney General tried to undermine his own organization’s report.

Ig you could call it cyber warfare. In the US, the FBI has investigated troll farms and is aware of their existence. They’re documented their influence on specific communities on Reddit and Twitter. I don’t think they’ve done anything publicly. I imagine MI[insert number here] has taken similar steps and has collaborated with the FBI on this.
Oh and they give them fun names like Fancy Bear.
