Did I get punished for saying something wrong? Did it get an update?
I am logged in to lemmy.ml and it seems to run just fine as of now.
I got “bad gateway” a little while ago from my browser bookmark, but I just figured it was temporarily down and didn’t think anything of it.
I believe the top level domain, the .ML was reclaimed by the country of Mali recently, who own it. It was just bad luck.
No, it didn’t. Lemmy.ml is running just fine.
Is that what the ML means? I thought that it meant Machine Learning.
All two letter domains are for countries.

But what does the ML in this instance mean?
Mali. The country of Mali.
Lemmy is from Mali?
Anyone can register a domain anywhere as long as the country allows it. Lemmy is not from Mali in this case.
@BlameThePeacock @favrion I believe, he asked why developers of lemmy.ml has chosen exactly this domain for server instead of some other
But since they’re not from Mali, what is the ML supposed to mean?
What do you mean it disappeared from your list?
I didn’t see it on my drop-down list.
You’re posting from it so it seems to be working
The key word is “had.”
