Tricia Cotham, a Democrat who supported abortion rights, was encouraged to run for a state House seat by powerful Republicans. After she was elected, she joined them and delivered a G.O.P. supermajority.
She was recruited as a likely party-switcher by the GOP, falsely campaigned on a democratic platform, and after the election indeed switched parties and is now doing the opposite of what she was elected to do.
She really should be recalled, not sure if that’s a thing in North Carolina state elections.

What she did should be considered election fraud and a felony. She and the fascists who helped her should all be in prison.
Sadly, recalls are not a thing in NC. Have to wait until the next election to vote for someone else.
