Usually I just use a Swisstech backup but was wondering if there was a better option
Tomtoc sling bag for Steamdeck

I’m very happy with this bag. I fit the deck, the charger it came with, a USBC hub with HDMI out, a 10ft HDMI cable, an Anker battery pack, 2 more charging cables, a 5g LTE hotspot, a trifold keyboard/mouse, and an old cellphone.
Over-sized cross body bags work well.
I have one of these:
Leaper Canvas Messenger Bag Anti-Theft Crossbody Bags Sling Bag with USB Black, XL

There are other styles of cross body bags, you just have to find one big enough for the deck. :)

Backpacks have two straps, one goes over each shoulder.
A cross body bag has one strap and it slings from one shoulder to the opposite hip, or it can hang in front or back.

Bigger ones can fit a laptop, super big ones are also called messenger bags.

I have heard good things about the LTT Backpack, I watched a stream where Linus talked about improvements they did to the backpack to make the Steamdeck fit.
Here is a review I found where someone uses it for laptop and Steamdeck https://www.reddit.com/r/LinusTechTips/comments/zxcafh/ltt_backpack_long_format_review/
(Yes I know it’s on reddit, but I couldn’t find a review on lemmy, maybe you will be the first if you buy one 😉)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boots_theory If one have the money to buy one backpack that lasts 10 years you save money by not buying a new cheap backpack every other year 🤷
I bought a mini kadet 5 liter sling bag from chrome industries. It’s a decent quality bag.

Typically I use an empty camelback backpack without the bladder, but it doesn’t fit my keyboard at the same time. It fits the charger and the deck. Or alternatively, it fits my 4 controllers, stand, and keyboard as an auxiliary bag and I keep the SD in its case along with it.
I was coming here with the same exact suggestion. I had an old CamelBak-like bag that was never getting used. A little snip snip here and cut cut there and that shit is a perfect Steam Deck bag. I even added a bit of padding in the bottom of the bag to help protect a little more.
I’ve read some stuff about Jsaux being huge douchebags, so, you may need to make an ethical choice, but I’ve been very satisfied with this bag
