I don’t care what Reddit does at this point, an frankly I’m tired of reading everyone still trying suck that teet.
I don’t care about the experience anymore, I just want to see what colours the fire turns before it runs out of fuel.
Well, my first thought is “why the fuck didn’t you put WHAT FEATURE in the title?”. Then I thought “okay, that’s probably the article’s title, and OP was just using it.” Then I saw that the actual title is “Reddit is getting rid of its Gold awards system”, and returned to “fuck this OP”.

I think that’s vastly overstating things…
You are seeing awards everywhere on Reddit. And I liked them, I was wondering what other people thought.
Calling it an “important feature” is super annoying and clickbaity phrasing. The article also doesn’t seem to say what they’re replacing it with.
I was, and I found them to be nothing more than annoying clutter while I was using reddit. Seems that’s the prevailing opinion based on the pm they sent out:
