In the past, we would type something like site:reddit.com
into a search engine to get to the resource we needed. In the meantime, I have already found a few useful tips on Lemmy instances by using the Lemmy search. But since all Lemmy instances are named differently, a simple site:lemmy
won’t work well in a search engine.
Do you see a solution for this? Or do we leave this to the search providers to figure out?
You must log in or register to comment.
You can append
(intext:"modlog" & "instances" & "docs" & "code" & "join lemmy")
to your search query to search through all Lemmy instances.People are already working on unified search tool, it’s not really hard as all you need is a list of instances and and a way to index them.
Ooh that’s a neat way to work around this.
