It is a lot better in the USA. We don’t have riots across the nation, we don’t have fires across the nation, we don’t have a petulant trust fund baby sitting in the oval office, and we don’t have insurrectionists actively swarming Capitol Hill. 2020 was by far the worst condition I’ve ever seen this country in during my entire life.

2023 has been the hardest and worst year of my life, followed by 2022. 2020 and 2021 were some of my best years ever. It’s hard to handle that whiplash and I really regret not seeing the hard times ahead back then with the inevitable economic crisis on the horizon.

Hindsight is an amazing thing, tough to equate one time to another in your life. things are transient, and all add up to the experience of now. Can’t all be good but it won’t all be bad. Every one of those experiences make you you, and I think that’s important.

It’s crazy. I thought the covid years were hard, but 2023 turned out hard in steroids for me. I hope everyone is doing fine.

I’m in about the same boat, friend. 2020-2022 were pretty hard, but this year has honestly been one of the most brutal of my life, here’s to 2024 being the turnaround we all need!

Feels a lot different than 2020 to me. Mostly because I don’t have to follow the arrows in the grocery store anymore.
