Wonder woman’s lasso doesn’t even detect lies. It just forces you to speak the truth with a varying compulsion to reveal secrets depending on author.
Calling it a lie detector is an odd thing when it’s the one thing it can’t do

I think that’d actually be a pretty easy thing to use as a lie detector, just wrap the thing around whomever and say “say that again”.
Or literally just ask “were you lying”?
