    I think the problem with start up communities is that no one want to use it because it has no activity, which in turn discourages people from joining. Once you get that momentum going, it will keep growing. Some people are probably just thinking “I’mma use Lemmy for 2 days” the soon the 2 days became a permanent stay.

      Precisely! And unlike Twitter or Facebook you’re not reliant to other specific people.

      Reddit have us an opening we wouldn’t have had otherwise.

      I think lemmy has the potential to break the fediverse wide open.
