These stupid sovcit fuckwits and their “not for commerce” plates…

What they should be doing is conveying the vehicle to the nearest navigable waterway, and putting it on the boat launch ramp, allowing it to touch the water.

Now, it is no longer a land vehicle at all. It is a self-portaging, sea-going vessel. So long as you convey it regularly (monthly) between sea ports (boat ramps), it is now a boat, not a car. Land-based police have no jurisdiction over it, and it is no longer restricted to noncommercial use only.

The sovcit is going to write on the ticket that because his name is capitalized on his birth certificate it’s not him and send it back

Once even I was much younger I got pulled over and ticketed for an expired vehicle registration. After accepting the ticket I asked the officer how I could now get home, since I was just told that I was not permitted to drive.

The officer said something along the lines of “well you’re not supposed to drive and it’ll be a big problem if I see you driving again”. Then got back in his patrol car, turned around, and left in the opposite direction.

I drove directly home (it wasn’t far) and renewed my registration as soon as possible.

…that said, I’d be very surprised to see a sovcit get that kind of leniency.

Yeah that’s what confuses me about some of these stories, mean I’m not from the locations but I always thought no plate meant it was being impounded. Like how could an officer let them continue driving without proper registration and insurance? That seems reckless on the officer’s actions, what if there was a collision? Unless I’m missing something which is very possible, I don’t know laws everywhere, gotta take the stories with a grain of salt it seems.

Do these people think they can live outside society and then participate when they need to? Like tax funded roads? Grocery stores? The Internet?!?

If you don’t wanna play with us, that’s fine. Just go to a place where you can do that. Not here.
