I need a device to monitor my vitals. All of them are proprietary. This one is most convenient and offers comprehensive monitoring. I’m not making decisions regarding my health based on ideals. You’ll get there too one day.
Dude I’m a millennial, why are you talking like a decrepit retiree? We aren’t that old. You shouldn’t be that sick unless you have some niche conditions that don’t really apply to most “aging millennials”.
Bullshit. I’m also on the older end of that demographic and it’s time to pay attention to your health
Some of them are a bit late. For example I know several former concert goers my age with hearing issues catching up with them. Now I pay attention when my Apple Watch warns about dangerous noise levels. However hearing issues can be from a lifetime of accumulated damage, so paying attention starting a decade or two ago would have been even better
Edit: when I lost weight a bunch of years back, my motivation was being better able to play with my kids but the most important tool was tracking: my vitals, my exercise, my intake.
Currently I’m battling sleep issues, mostly self-inflicted but the tracking is an important tool toward fixing that
I had 0 issues, probably like you, but when things start to pop up you really change perspective. I got quite a rude awakening recently and data from Apple Watch was very useful both to me and medical professionals. We’re pushing 40 so it’s a statistical inevitability. You might want to rawdog your health but I have family to think about.
Careful you don’t fall into an overdiagnosis cycle and start making health issues for yourself by constantly monitoring yourself and causing fear and panic over it.
Yeah, that’s a nasty trap I fell into for a bit. I had a spine injury and was in such severe pain for a couple of weeks I barely slept and got anxiety attacks. I’m now focused on healing my initial condition and not those I invented while being delirious lol. Genuine thanks for being on a lookout for this, I was really surprised my mind could do it to me.
