What a surprise Woody allen wants “romance” back in film making.
He probably just wishes he could still be a sex pest and get away with it.
I tried watching one of his movies and I found the characters so insufferable I couldn’t make it past like 30-40 minutes.
That’s the woody Allen charm
He sucks. He always sucked. All of his movies inexplicably pair himself with young beautiful women. Gee what happened to the art?
I.e. he can no longer write in his bumbling-neurotic main character into a romance with an actress a fraction of his age whose character exists purely as a personification of his frustrated desires?
I can’t wait till I can resume watching his movies again. Surely it’s any day now.
