Postiz is an open-source social media scheduling tool that is similar to traditional ones: Buffer, Hootsuite, SproutSocial, etc.
https://github.com/gitroomhq/postiz-app/
Postiz supports:
Key features:
-
Schedule for nine social media platforms (Threads, Pinterest, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn, Dribbble, YouTube, Instagram.)
-
Fundamental analytics for almost all social media platforms.
-
AI Features: Copilots, AI Auto-complete, Canva-like editor.
-
Team support: Invite your team members to manage social media.
-
Generic Email Provider & Easier installation experience (drop the default Resend and add a nodemailer option!)
-
There are lots of improvements for the docker / docker-compose. It’s much easier to deploy everything!
-
Added Bluesky, Mastodon, Slack and Discord channels!
-
Add multiple options for upload files (locally / R2) - working on S3.
-
Improve the refresh token mechanism (even for more complicated ones like Facebook and Instagram)
-
Invite to a team has significant fixes but will be refactored.
What’s next:
-
Postiz is a company run by one person and contributors. Accessing all the support tickets (especially installation) is difficult, so I will focus all my efforts on making installation easier.
-
Productivity - many things feel bad when posting, like selecting multiple images and pasting images directly into the editor.
-
Basic SSO for the self-hosters, and more advanced ones like Azure AD and Okta for the enterprise.
-
Public API (unfortunately, I decided to make this feature paid; I need to make money somehow :/ )
-
Tagging brands on Instagram
-
Segmenting accounts into customers
-
Tagging people on multiple platforms
-
Tagging posts for easier searches
-
Auto-plug features, like automatic repost / retweet.
Since you deleted your post on [email protected], reposting my comment.
Another AI project that will probably be dead in a few months. Also open core not open source as many of the features are not available via self-hosted version.
Self-hosted version which source is available and hosted-version which is not public, are not the same. Or at the very least, planned to not be the same by your own admission as you talked publically about planning on adding paid-only features to hosted version.
Take out “AI features” and you are left with nothing, so yeah, AI project… It also relies on proprietary AI models that you don’t own, so it can stop working at any point and that would be out of your control.
No support for any of the free social media platforms like Lemmy…
I discovered the platform today :D Should def have an integration for it, I hope it’s not too complicated. Most of the platforms in the system are oAuth2
There seems to be some support for mastodon.social: https://docs.postiz.com/providers/mastodon
Implementing mastodon.social instead of proper Mastodon, implementing no other fedi software – this scheduler has much potential/work ahead
I guess they need to do some refactoring, as all the other supported platforms will do fine with hardcoded domains.
Yes, has most platforms are oAuth2 it’s an easy implementation. But I think it would be really cool to have those platforms too!
I see Mastodon?
yea a that was my first thought, no bsky, no lemmy,
no mastodon(edit: apperently has limited suppport for exclusively mastodon.social) , like are they paying attention to the trends?
Lemmy support when

Sorry to budge in like this, but I don’t use any of these garbage social platforms, at all. Copilot is also strongly against my belief of the right to online privacy.
The reason why I started to selfhost and use opensource apps/OS, was to get away from all this nonsense.
Lemmy is the only platform I use, used to be on reddit, because the main purpose is to help or to get help/advise on issues. Like the old forums.
I’m a firm believer that social platforms are destroying generations with its toxic/competitive environments.
Rant over.
Shower me with downvotes if you believe I’m wrong.
I agree with you but that doesn’t mean everyone does. Whether you like it or not, social media platforms are going to be used. OP is just sharing a tool they built and believe may be useful to others for free. There’s no need to shit on their work just because you ideologically disagree with the underlying services managed. Again, I feel the same way as you but OP is contributing a useful tool to the people; that is seldom a bad thing. I could see myself using this to boost my LinkedIn presence, because it’s one of the few things I have and need in my early career. Would I like to get rid of my LinkedIn? Absolutely. Do I despise most social media platforms (including Lemmy to a degree)? Definitely. Do I appreciate OP for making and sharing this? You bet I do.
This. I wholeheartedly concur that corporate “social” media is fucking shit up like hell, however as long as people are socially stuck there they will be around, as as long as that is the case people who need to make a living will have to roll out stuff and communicate with people there.
In fact this is specifically the kind of tool a friend and me looked for but couldn’t find as FOSS until now, although we’d definitely need support for the Mastodon API / Lemmy.
One may argue which platforms to choose (depending on what you want to show people or who you want to reach). But completely abandoning garbage platforms ain’t possible right now, especially for small businesses who need to be seen somewhere.
